Between the Old and the New
“The dialogue between ancient times and the light strokes of the contemporary.”
Pietra house
Casa Pietra rises among ruins and olive trees, soberly reinterpreting the Italian way of living, between the vernacular and contemporary geometric clarity.
Situated high above an Italian village, Casa Pietra is the result of a careful blend of past and present. Its travertine stone walls and artisanal tile roof reflect the historical context, while its pure volumes and cut-out windows reveal a contemporary language. Inside, natural materials such as wood, linen, and lime provide warmth and permanence. The project doesn't imitate, but rather listens to the surrounding landscape, striving for belonging and timelessness.
