Mountain Shelter
“Where concrete meets fog, silence becomes architecture.”
Gray refuge
Perched on a hillside, this residence favors contemplation. Wood and stone intertwine with the mist, creating a shelter that disappears into the landscape.
Refugio Cinza is a house designed to disappear into the mountains. Its single-story structure, clad in grayish vertical slats, blends into the surrounding forest. The green roof reinforces integration with the ground, while horizontal openings frame the mist and treetops. Internally, the continuous use of wood and concrete reveals a minimalist and introspective language. More than just a place to live, it's an invitation to retreat and silently contemplate nature in motion.
